02Will this job be permitted and inspected?

Panel and circuit work usually should be. Skipped permits surface at home sales and insurance claims, with your name on them, not theirs.

03What does the diagnosis cost, before you arrive?

A fair fee is fine. Discovering it on the invoice is not. Ask with the first phone call.

04Why does the panel need replacing, specifically?

“It’s old” is not a diagnosis. Which brand, what fault, what can’t it do, a four-figure answer deserves a two-minute explanation.

05Who actually does the work at my house?

Do you charge for estimates?+

No. Written estimates for panels, chargers, rewires and commercial work are always free, we visit, measure, talk through scope and materials, and email you a clear, itemized quote with no obligation.

How soon can you start?+

Most estimates go out within a day, and typical projects are scheduled within one to two weeks. For urgent rewires, before a move, a sale or an event, just tell us the date and we'll do our best to fit you in.

What does “free estimates” mean?+

Before any work begins, we give you one clear quote to approve, prep, materials and labor included. No hourly meter, no surprise add-ons at the end. You always decide before we start.

What should I do before you arrive?+

Know where your panel is and clear a path to it, that is genuinely all. We bring shoe covers, drop cloths and our own vacuum, and we label as we go.

Do you charge extra for evenings or weekends?+

No. Flat means flat. If we quote a job, that number holds whether it lands on a Tuesday or a Saturday.

Can you give a price over the phone?+

A realistic range, yes. The quote lands after the free safety check, in writing, before any work starts. That part never varies.

How fast can you schedule?+

Same-week for most work, faster when something is sparking, that jumps the line, call first, we will tell you what to switch off.

How do you decide what my home needs?+

Measurements and a load calculation, not a walkthrough guess. Every recommendation lands with the reading that justifies it, and you approve line by line.

Why do lights dim when appliances start?+

Voltage drop, a loaded circuit or a tired panel connection. Mostly it is fixable at the panel, occasionally it is the utility's side, we test, then tell you which.

Can you add a circuit without tearing up drywall?+

Usually, yes. Crawlspaces, attics and wire-fishing get us to most places with tiny, patchable openings, we map them on the wall in tape before cutting anything.

For most homes, yes, the wall keeps working for everyone, automations live underneath, and nothing bricks when the wifi blinks. We wire local-first.

What happens during the free safety check?+

Panel opened and thermal-checked, GFCI and smoke protection tested, a look at grounding and the meter base, fifteen focused minutes, then a plain-English verdict.

Do you handle permits?+

Yes, permits pulled and inspections met on panels, rewires, chargers and generators. The signed-off card goes in your project folder.
