What we do

One crew for your whole home's power.

From a single accent room to a full exterior rewire, prep, wire and protect, all under one roof. Every service below carries the same quality promise.

The honest call

Flicker, trip, panel, or the wiring?

Electrical problems whisper before they shout. Here is what each symptom usually means, and which ones should never wait.

Flickers & dead spots

Small symptom, big message.

Signs
Flickering lights, warm outlets, a switch that buzzes
Call
Usually a loose or worn connection, found and tightened

Loose connections are a leading cause of house fires. A warm outlet is not a quirk, it’s an appointment.

Tripping breakers

The system doing its job.

Signs
Same breaker trips on the kettle, the heater, the hair dryer
Call
Overloaded circuit or a fault, diagnosed, then split or repaired

A trip is protection, not the problem. Taping a breaker or upsizing it without fixing the cause turns a nuisance into a hazard.

The panel

The house’s beating heart.

Signs
No room for new circuits, fuses, certain 60s–80s brands, EV or heat pump coming
Call
Upgrade, permitted and inspected, sized for what’s next

A four-figure quote deserves a specific reason: which panel, what’s wrong with it, what the new one makes possible. Get it named.

Old wiring

Age matters behind walls.

Signs
Knob-and-tube, aluminum branch wiring, two-prong outlets everywhere
Call
Assessed honestly: some needs rewiring, some needs targeted fixes

“Rewire everything” is sometimes right and sometimes lazy. The honest version names which circuits, and why those.

Sparks, smoke or a burning smell right now? Flip the main breaker off and call, that one is never a “next week” problem.

Straight pricing

One number. In writing. It doesn’t move.

No hourly meter, no surprise line items, no “while we’re at it”. You approve one clear quote before a single wire is pulled, so you know the cost up front.

The safety check

We visit, measure every room and listen to what you actually want. Free, and it stays free.

02
Your clear quote

Parts, labor and permit, one line, one price. Approved by you before anything starts.

In writing03
Signed & guaranteed

The number lands in writing with a two-year workmanship warranty. If it isn’t right, we make it right.

The breakdown

What moves the number.

No mystery math. Four things decide what electrical work costs, and we walk every one with you before the quote lands.

Access & routingFishing wire through finished walls takes the time; open framing is quick. How we reach the work is most of the price.
Panel & capacityWhether your panel has room for the new load, or needs more, settled by a load calculation, not a guess.
Materials & fixturesSpec-grade devices, panel gear and the fixtures or charger you choose each set their own line.
Permits & inspectionPermitted work with inspections met costs a little more, and it is the part that keeps you safe and covered.

Whatever the mix, you get one clear quote, in writing, before any work starts.

What a serious electrical quote includes, ours or anyone’s:
  • The work named: which circuits, what amperage
  • Permit & inspection: pulled or not, stated
  • Panel jobs: brand and amperage of the new panel
  • Who opens the wall and who closes it
  • Diagnosis fee inside or outside the number, said early
  • Labor warranty terms, in writing
The permit line protects YOU: unpermitted panel work surfaces at home-sale inspections and can complicate insurance. If it’s missing, ask why.
On the job

Real homes, real circuits, wired for decades

From a 200-amp panel swap to an EV charger that charges overnight and lighting that makes dinner look good, this is the work we test, wire and warranty across Portland every day.

Where we work

Proudly serving the Portland metro

A lot of our work comes from a neighbor who watched us wire the house next door. If you're in the metro, we're just around the corner.

Half the housing stock here predates modern code — two-prong outlets, crowded panels and damp basements crying for GFCIs, that’s the local pattern behind most of our calls.

How it goes

From first call to done.

No mystery in the middle. This is the path the job actually takes, start to finish.

01
The walkthroughday 1

A licensed electrician comes out, opens the panel, checks your service capacity and existing circuits, and listens to what you actually want. No sales rep, the person who sees the job is the person who scopes it.

02
Quote lands in writingwithin a day

You get an itemized clear quote by email, broken out by scope like panel, dedicated circuits, and any permit fees. The number is walked through with you before you sign.

03
Permit and schedule set1-2 weeks out

We pull the electrical permit with the city and lock a start date that fits you. You get the permit number and a written schedule so you know exactly which days we are in the house.

04
The work gets doneday of the job

The crew arrives when we said, protects your floors, and works the panel and circuits in a planned order to keep power outages short. You always know who is in your home and roughly how long the power is down.

05
Walkthrough and sign-offbefore we leave

We walk every new circuit and outlet with you, label the panel in plain English, and haul out the old wire and debris. You are left with a passed inspection, a written workmanship warranty in hand, and a clean space.

Before you hire anyone

Five questions for every electrician.

Including us. Electrical work is the one trade where a bad job hides behind drywall and waits. Five questions keep it honest.

01Are you licensed for electrical work in this state?

Not “experienced”, licensed. The number should come instantly. It’s the difference between a trade and a hobby with your house.

02Will this job be permitted and inspected?

Panel and circuit work usually should be. Skipped permits surface at home sales and insurance claims, with your name on them, not theirs.

03What does the diagnosis cost, before you arrive?

A fair fee is fine. Discovering it on the invoice is not. Ask with the first phone call.

04Why does the panel need replacing, specifically?

“It’s old” is not a diagnosis. Which brand, what fault, what can’t it do, a four-figure answer deserves a two-minute explanation.

05Who actually does the work at my house?

Master, journeyman, apprentice, all fine, in the right mix. You just want to know who’s in the panel before the cover comes off.

Bring this list to the call. We’ll answer all five before you ask.

Good to know

Questions, answered

Getting started
Do you charge for estimates?+
No. Written estimates for panels, chargers, rewires and commercial work are always free, we visit, measure, talk through scope and materials, and email you a clear, itemized quote with no obligation.
How soon can you start?+
Most estimates go out within a day, and typical projects are scheduled within one to two weeks. For urgent rewires, before a move, a sale or an event, just tell us the date and we'll do our best to fit you in.
What does “free estimates” mean?+
Before any work begins, we give you one clear quote to approve, prep, materials and labor included. No hourly meter, no surprise add-ons at the end. You always decide before we start.
What should I do before you arrive?+
Know where your panel is and clear a path to it, that is genuinely all. We bring shoe covers, drop cloths and our own vacuum, and we label as we go.
Do you charge extra for evenings or weekends?+
No. Flat means flat. If we quote a job, that number holds whether it lands on a Tuesday or a Saturday.
Can you give a price over the phone?+
A realistic range, yes. The quote lands after the free safety check, in writing, before any work starts. That part never varies.
How fast can you schedule?+
Same-week for most work, faster when something is sparking, that jumps the line, call first, we will tell you what to switch off.
Panels, wiring & fixtures
What parts and brands do you use?+
Panel gear from the major manufacturers with parts availability for decades, spec-grade devices instead of builder-grade, and any fixture you have already picked out.
How do you decide what my home needs?+
Measurements and a load calculation, not a walkthrough guess. Every recommendation lands with the reading that justifies it, and you approve line by line.
Why do lights dim when appliances start?+
Voltage drop, a loaded circuit or a tired panel connection. Mostly it is fixable at the panel, occasionally it is the utility's side, we test, then tell you which.
Can you add a circuit without tearing up drywall?+
Usually, yes. Crawlspaces, attics and wire-fishing get us to most places with tiny, patchable openings, we map them on the wall in tape before cutting anything.
Which lighting scene fits my home?+
Tap through the Light Studio above, the page takes on each scene's glow, from candle-dim to daylight. Bring your favorite to the safety check.
Are smart switches worth it over smart bulbs?+
For most homes, yes, the wall keeps working for everyone, automations live underneath, and nothing bricks when the wifi blinks. We wire local-first.
Safety, permits & guarantee
Is my old panel actually unsafe?+
Some brands earned their reputation, others are just full. We tell you which yours is with photos and thermal readings, and 'it is fine for now' is an answer we give often.
What happens during the free safety check?+
Panel opened and thermal-checked, GFCI and smoke protection tested, a look at grounding and the meter base, fifteen focused minutes, then a plain-English verdict.
Do you handle permits?+
Yes, permits pulled and inspections met on panels, rewires, chargers and generators. The signed-off card goes in your project folder.
Is the Care Plan worth it?+
For most homes, yes: an annual inspection, free scuff and touch-up visits, priority scheduling, and 15% off future projects typically pay for the membership the first time you use it, and keep every finish looking new.
